That the Parliament welcomes the news of the forthcoming official opening of Alzheimer Scotland’s Alloa Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre; understands that, whilst this new facility has been in operation for some weeks, with the charity’s teams continuing to build up their services from this venue on 2-4 Mill Street, Alloa, and welcoming people living with dementia and their families and carers into the centre for support, the official opening event will be held on 1 June 2022, from 1.00 to 3.00 pm, to coincide with Dementia Awareness Week; acknowledges that the opening and operation of the centre would not have been possible without the generosity of supporters, to whom, it understands, Alzheimer Scotland sends its sincere thanks; commends everyone involved, and wishes Alzheimer Scotland, its volunteers and service users, all the best for the centre’s continued success.
