That the Parliament recognises North Lanarkshire Council for winning a 2022 COSLA Excellence Award and South Lanarkshire Council for winning two COSLA Excellence Awards in this year’s event; understands that South Lanarkshire Council was the joint most nominated council with three finalists across all categories and the only council in the 2022 event to win more than one award; congratulates South Lanarkshire Council’s Early Years team, which was named the winner in the Delivering Excellence Award, South Lanarkshire Council’s Housing and Technical Resources team, which took the Excellent People, Excellent Outcomes Award, and North Lanarkshire Council’s People and Organisational Development team for winning the COSLA Chairperson’s Award, and acknowledges what it sees as the positive differences all council winners across all categories have made within their local communities and the high quality of public services delivered daily by local government.
