That the Parliament recognises the success of the Wise Group in recently helping almost 30 people into work, in collaboration with Kirkintilloch Job Centre; commends the commitment and vision of Chief Executive, Sean Duffy, in leading the inspirational staff team to support what it sees as such positive outcomes with a tangible impact on the lives of constituents in Strathkelvin and Bearsden; notes that the Wise Group works in partnership with 38 Job Centres in the west and south west regions of Scotland to deliver the JETS employability programme; applauds what it considers the highly-effective, targeted help provided by Employment Advisers in compiling CVs, fine-tuning interview skills, maximising effectiveness for job searches, and providing access to training courses; delights at reports that typically over 40% of participants engaging with the Wise Group gain work during the six-month programme; wishes those who have recently found employment much fulfilment and success in their new roles, and congratulates the Wise Group for its actions in empowering local people to lift themselves out of poverty and build stronger futures.
