Dunelves of the Shelves Bring Cheer to Clydebank

  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 22 December 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02629

That the Parliament notes that the retail store, Dunelm, has been delivering joy with its Christmas gift appeal and upcycling old decorations for use in care homes and other community charities; understands that the company delivered 18,000 gifts last year to people who would not usually receive a present; further understands that it has been another successful year, with the Clydebank community fulfilling 457 gift requests across nine schools, four nurseries, a care home, Clydebank Women's Aid and two food banks, and applauds everyone who participated in the gifting campaign and who helped the staff of Dunelm and the Dunelves spread wonderful Christmas cheer.
