Ineos Forties Pipeline System Donates £8,000 to Kersiebank Community Project

  • Submitted by: Michelle Thomson, Falkirk East, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 20 December 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02616

That the Parliament welcomes an £8,000 donation from Ineos Forties Pipeline System (FPS) to the Kersiebank Community project in Grangemouth; understands that the donation will be used so that children across the Grangemouth area wake up with a gift to unwrap on Christmas morning; considers the impact of poverty on communities, noting that families can be forced into poverty by a number of different factors, including illness or redundancy; notes the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on families and children over the last 20 months, further compounding issues that many already faced; thanks Ineos FPS for its generous donation; believes the work of volunteer-led projects has been invaluable to families and individuals in communities that have needed support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes everyone involved in the Kersiebank Community Project, and all volunteer-led projects across Falkirk East and beyond, the very best for the coming festive season.
