Fraserburgh Wins SURF Award for Scotland’s Most Improved Place 2021

That the Parliament congratulates Fraserburgh on winning the SURF award for Scotland’s Most Improved Place 2021; applauds this fantastic achievement, which recognises the hard work of all involved to improve the lives of those living in Fraserburgh; understands that Aberdeenshire Council set out a vision of regeneration in an action plan in 2016 to improve the lives of those living in Fraserburgh; notes that the project invested £5.8 million into heritage sites and leisure facilities, including restoring and reopening the Faithlie Centre; considers that, as a result of hard work by the local community, Fraserburgh is now a focal point for independent businesses in the region, with shops championing local products, and wishes Fraserburgh, and all involved, the best for the future.
