  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 02 November 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01869

That the Parliament recognises the achievements of West Dunbartonshire’s Coaching Academy in its first year of classes; understands that the Coaching Academy, which is run by West Dunbartonshire Leisure's Active Schools programme, will give 55 secondary pupils the opportunity to gain what it sees as invaluable employability skills and sports qualifications this year; notes that former students have commended the Coaching Academy for supporting them through to higher education and offering varied opportunities; considers this to be an excellent programme for West Dunbartonshire’s young people, which provides a wealth of knowledge from the Active Schools Team and the Coaching Academy, and wishes them success with the project.
