Marathon Fundraiser for Dementia with Lewy Bodies

That the Parliament congratulates Màiri Robertson Carrey, who is from the Isle of Harris, on completing her recent marathon fundraiser on Scarista Beach; recognises that Màiri was chosen to represent The Lewy Body Society by taking part virtually in this year’s London Marathon; understands that Màiri completed 16.9 miles walking on sand, which is the equivalent of over 26 miles on solid ground; commends Màiri for raising awareness of Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) through her efforts; understands that DLB is the third most common cause of dementia, accounting for approximately 10% of cases, and praises Màiri for the £503.24 that she has raised for The Lewy Body Society.
