That the Parliament congratulates the thousands of young people who took to the streets in more than 1,500 locations worldwide, including Scotland, on 24 September 2021; notes that the strike, which was organised by Fridays for Future, marked five weeks until the COP26 summit in Glasgow, and understands that it was the largest demonstration of its kind since the beginning of the pandemic; recognises the importance of the Youth4Climate pre-COP26 meeting in Milan, from 28 to 30 September, where hundreds of young delegates are coming together to put forward proposals on the most pressing issues on the climate agenda, and offers full support and solidarity to all of the young people around the world who are taking action where often governments are failing to address the climate emergency.
