  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 05 October 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01464

That the Parliament congratulates Glenkens Community and Arts Trust in receiving funding of £82,429 from Creative Scotland in the latest round of Open Fund Awards; acknowledges that the monies supporting creative projects across Scotland has been made possible through National Lottery support; recognises that it will support a substantive arts programme across communities in Dumfries and Galloway aimed at encouraging audiences back to see live performances, including Scotland’s first cycling climate circus that will perform in playgrounds and green spaces, allow people to connect with their local environment, and provide a vital stepping stone towards taking action needed to address the climate and nature emergency, and wishes those involved with the community and arts trust every success in the future in helping promote a series of exciting initiatives in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
