That the Parliament celebrates National Racehorse Week from 12 to 19 September 2021, during which anyone can visit a racing training yard or racecourse, as part of a national celebration of the racehorse; understands that National Racehorse Week is the first of its kind and a unique opportunity for the racing industry and the public to come together and meet in person, at the home of the racehorse; further understands that Scottish Racing places great value on the relationship between the racing community and the public, and that this is an event to show how well racehorses are looked after, and the lifelong commitment Scottish Racing has to their wellbeing; considers racehorses as the stars of the sport; welcomes the opportunity for people to see the passion and attention that goes into looking after them at all stages of their lives, and believes the event will play an important part in Scottish Racing's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, encouraging engagement in the sport.
