Border Television Celebrates 60 Years of Broadcasting

That the Parliament wishes a very happy 60th birthday to Border Television, which began broadcasting on 1 September 1961; acknowledges its huge contribution in providing and promoting issues of cultural importance and relevance across southern Scotland and Cumbria through the popular Lookaround programme; recognises its enormous role in keeping areas, such as Dumfries and Galloway and the Scottish Borders, fully informed, thanks to its extensive regional news stories, features, sport and weather coverage, provided by its multi-talented and dedicated team of reporters, presenters and its production team, and wishes Border Television continued success in the coming future.
