World Breastfeeding Week

That the Parliament recognises that World Breastfeeding Week, which generates public awareness and support for breastfeeding, is being celebrated from 1 to 7 August 2021; acknowledges that, in Scotland, babies are protected by law to be fed anywhere; encourages businesses to sign up to the Breastfeeding Friendly Scotland (BFS) scheme to demonstrate that they understand and accommodate the needs of breastfeeding families, and supports the promotion of safe environments for breastfeeding outside of the home to ensure that more women feel comfortable to breastfeed.
