  • Submitted by: Sharon Dowey, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 12 July 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00642

That the Parliament notes the service of Mrs Jacqueline Hanlon, who has taught in East Ayrshire for 37 years, most recently in the role of Headteacher of Auchinleck Primary School and Early Childhood Centre; understands that during her long and diverse career Mrs Hanlon has worked at Muirkirk Primary School, before serving as Depute Head at Shortlees Primary School, Headteacher at Annanhill Primary School, and Headteacher at Auchinleck, among other positions; appreciates that a piper led a parade of primary seven leavers, who were the first year group that Mrs Hanlon welcomed to Auchinleck Primary School, around Dalalloch Road before a speech was read by primary seven pupil, Alexander Gass, and that Mrs Hanlon was presented with gifts, songs, scrapbooks and video messages from children, staff, past colleagues and current pupils, and wishes Mrs Hanlon a happy and well-deserved retirement.
