That the Parliament welcomes the announcement of more than £25 million Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF) awards made to community projects across Scotland; understands that the Victoria Road School Community Element, based in Torry, has been awarded a £1,408,965 grant and is the only project from the Aberdeen City Council area to have obtained funding; understands that the project, led by the Torry Development Trust and Grampian Housing, has committed to renovating the historic Victorian granite school building into affordable housing and facilities for the Torry community; thanks the RCGF investment panel for selecting this worthy project for funding, and passes on its congratulations and best wishes to all involved for continued success in the future.
