Darkwood Crew Wins at Volunteer Awards

That the Parliament congratulates the Darkwood Crew from Ferguslie Park in Paisley on winning a Volunteer Award at Paths For All’s annual awards; understands that Paths For All is an organisation whose mission is to encourage more people in Scotland to walk every day and appreciate the natural environment while improving their health; praises the Darkwood Crew for the excellent work that it has done to ensure the local village green in Ferguslie Park is regularly and properly maintained and is accessible and safe for all in the community; appreciates that the group, which consists of local residents, is equally focussed on addressing the wider social issues of the area such as isolation, loneliness, health inequalities and long-term unemployment, and considers that the need for such community groups and organisations as especially vital during these challenging times.
