That the Parliament congratulates Alex White, who is a former pupil at St Peter the Apostle High School in Clydebank, and his band, SPYRES, on being chosen to perform at the 2020 TRNSMT festival in Glasgow; understands that Alex, who plays the drums, and his bandmates, Jude Curran, Emily Downie and Keira McGuire, are aged between 16 and 18 and that they have just completed their first tour and released a new single, Fake ID; notes that will share the limelight at the festival with many music heavyweights, including Liam Gallagher; commends Alex, Jude, Emily and Keira on their hard work and dedication, and wishes them continued success.
