Rowing the Minch for MS Exceeds Fundraising Expectations

That the Parliament congratulates Kathryn Bennett, John Grant, Gary Lewis, Anthony O'Flaherty and Lorraine Thomson, from Rowing the Minch for MS, on successfully crossing the 50 miles of open sea from Stornoway to Ullapool in 14 hours 20 minutes in their boat, Cul Mor; recognises that they have exceeded their fundraising target by over 50%, with a total amount raised of £30,591.23; notes that, with support from the MS Society, a media reach of over 550,000 was achieved; commends the generosity of businesses, groups and individuals that contributed to the fund, and further commends the group for raising awareness of multiple sclerosis and MS Society Scotland.
