That the Parliament congratulates the delicatessen, Billington’s of Lenzie, on its Lenzie Gin being named as both the London Dry Gin and overall Gin of the Year at the Scottish Gin Awards 2019; notes that it is made in small batches and that its key botanicals, cranberry and bilberry, take inspiration from the Lenzie Moss nature reserve where these fruits grow naturally; understands that its success followed a thorough process involving 30 leading gin experts from across the UK and a blind-tasting of over 600 products; believes that gin is a flourishing sector of the Scottish spirits industry, and commends all at Billington’s of Lenzie on producing this high-quality spirit that celebrates the area that it comes from.
