That the Parliament passes on its support and best wishes to the Aberdeen-based charity, Charlie House, as it seeks to raise £8 million for its Big Build Appeal; understands that the project, which was launched in November 2018, seeks to build an eight-bedroom facility in four acres of land within Woodend Hospital that will provide dedicated support to north east families and their children with complex disabilities; notes that the facility will include state-of-the-art spaces, including a sensory room, library, spa pool, teen den, soft play area and a therapy room; welcomes the progress of the project, which has resulted in Charlie House raising £2.2 million so far, including a recent generous £400,000 donation from the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen Trades Widows’ Fund; congratulates Charlie House and commends all donors; encourages the public to participate in making this facility a reality, and sends its best wishes for every success in the future.
