That the Parliament congratulates the dance and performing arts company, Visual Statement, on its £9,000 grant from the Scotch Whisky Action Fund to deliver a new musical drama project, Pink to Black, which is designed to reach out to young girls in Easterhouse, in the east end of Glasgow, who have been found drinking alcohol and causing nuisance behaviour; understands that it will write, develop and perform an original drama production, based on the music of the artist, Pink; notes that the production will show the decline of a young person through alcohol misuse and the impact that this has on her relationships, health and wellbeing; acknowledges that the girls will be involved in the production, taking starring roles and performing it to their family, friends and community; believes that this will provide a further opportunity to raise awareness of alcohol misuse among young people beyond those directly involved in the project, and sends its best wishes to everyone involved with this.
