That the Parliament welcomes Scottish Rugby’s announcement that the 2019 Tartan Touch season will see an increase of 14 clubs, making it the biggest to date; understands that this represents a 38% increase in player participation, with the sport reaching a far wider audience than before; recognises the diversity of the participants, with 30% being women and players being aged from under 12 to up to 69; thanks the participating clubs for the great quality of the facilities that they offer and the positive impact that it believes that the sport is having on health, fitness and diversifying rugby across Scotland, and looks forward to the start of the season.
