That the Parliament congratulates the community group, Cinema Nairn, on its forthcoming 10th Anniversary Film Festival, which is set to take place in February 2019; understands that its first screenings in November 2009, The Wizard of Oz, The Magnificent Seven and I Know Where I'm Going!, represented the first cinema in the Highland town since the 1970s; believes that audience numbers have steadily grown and that there has been major investment in equipment to ensure that the filmgoers can enjoy seeing modern and classic pictures, and looks forward to continued success for the venture, which it believes benefits both the community and visitors to Nairn.
