Aberdeen Model Railway Club Wins The Great Model Railway Challenge 2018

That the Parliament congratulates the Aberdeen Model Railway Club on winning Channel 5’s Great Model Railway Challenge 2018; understands that the competition involved 15 teams competing against each other over five heats, using their creativity and ingenuity to build a model railway in just 24 hours; recognises that the winning team’s seven members were Karl Stevens, Ewan Forsyth, Colin Stevenson, Finlay Conner, Iain Burr, Mike Sutherland and Mike Ogston; acknowledges that the team reached the final after receiving high praise in the heats for Clucas Bay, a creation named after one of their late members; notes that the team’s final design was City of Tiers and that both creations will be exhibited at Warley Exhibition on 24-25 November 2018 and the Model Rail Scotland Exhibition from 22 to 24 February 2019, as well as its annual exhibition in October, and wishes the team every success for the future.
