That the Parliament congratulates the Scotland Women’s Football Team on its 2-1 victory over Albania, which will take the players to the World Cup in 2019 after qualifying for the finals for the first time; believes that this shows the growing talent and interest in the women’s game; notes that the team, which is captained by Rachel Corsie and coached by Shelley Kerr, includes players from across the country, including Claire Emslie from Penicuik; hopes that this victory will inspire more women and girls to take up a sport, and encourages everyone to get behind Scotland at the France 2019 finals.
