Outlaw King to Open Toronto International Film Festival

That the Parliament congratulates the upcoming feature film, Outlaw King, and its director, David Mackenzie, on its selection to open the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival; considers that Outlaw King is the largest feature film to have been made in Scotland, with filming locations including Linlithgow Palace, Glasgow Cathedral, Glen Coe and the Isle of Skye; notes that Sigma Films, which produced Outlaw King, is based in Glasgow and congratulates Sigma Films producer Gillian Berrie and co-producer Brian Coffey; welcomes the significant investment that the production has made to local economies; acknowledges the support provided by Creative Scotland, and believes that securing productions such as this contribute significantly towards the reputation and development of Scotland's screen sector.
