That the Parliament congratulates Mike Park, chief executive of the Scottish White Fish Producers’ Association (SWFPA) on being appointed an OBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to marine conservation; recognises that Mike has lead the SWFPA for the last 18 years in its work to rebuild stocks and protect the marine ecosystem, ensuring that the Scottish fishing industry has a sustainable business model for the future, and appreciates the SWFPA’s work in tackling current challenges, such as the discards ban and choke species.
