That the Parliament welcomes the news that Dundee has been chosen as a “top European destination for 2018” by Lonely Planet, which, it understands, is the world’s largest travel guide publisher; understands that the city, which is the only UK destination to be named in the top 10 list of tourism hotspots to visit, has been praised for its growing cultural scene and the exciting transformation of its waterfront, and believes that the accolade follows similar recommendations from CNN, The Wall Street Journal and The Guardian.
