That the Parliament congratulates Robert Gordon University on receiving the William Floyd Award from the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors in recognition of its research on North Sea helicopter safety; notes that this work was completed with the help of Step Change in Safety and Survitec; understands that it involved measuring the shoulder width of the 75,000-strong off-shore workforce and rearranging helicopter seating accordingly to improve the window exit time in the case of an emergency sea ditching; welcomes this step forward in safety, and commends Arthur Stewart and the rest of his team for this successful breakthrough.
