  • Submitted by: Gordon Lindhurst, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 20 April 2018
  • Motion reference: S5M-11747

That the Parliament welcomes Responsible Business Week 2018, which is an annual campaign in April that champions the work of businesses leading the drive for positive social, environmental and economic change; considers that every organisation in Scotland has the opportunity and responsibility to make a difference to improve society, change lives and shape a positive future; commends the work of Business in the Community Scotland, a business-led membership organisation, on running this initiative, which encourages bigger businesses to adopt best practices while creating a space for SMEs to play a meaningful role in wider society; supports its mission statement to build healthy communities with successful businesses at their heart, and recognises that the Parliament will next week mark Responsible Business Week 2018 by hosting a parliamentary reception, which will seek to encourage knowledge transfer and skill sharing to inspire businesses to embrace the responsible business agenda.
