That the Parliament congratulates all of the winners in the Shetland Sports Awards 2017, notes that Kim Johnson, Kaylee Mouat and Billy Mycock won Volunteer of the Year titles, Sally Couper was awarded the Technical Official category, David Wagstaff was named the Coach of the Year, the Woman's Triathlon and JIC swimming were named the Team and Young Team of the Year respectively, Seumas Mackay won the Young Sportsperson category, Sandra Jamieson was presented with the Lifetime Endeavour award and that John Magnus Laurenson was crowned Overall Sportsperson of the Year in light of his gold medal at the Island Games in Gotland.
