Loanhead’s Healthy Nibbles Receives Investment Boost

  • Submitted by: Miles Briggs, Lothian, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 18 September 2017
  • Motion reference: S5M-07747

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Loanhead-based business, Healthy Nibbles, which is a vending machine company that offers healthy snacks, has secured a six-figure investment boost from private investors as it looks to launch its own branded product and expand; is aware that the founder, Sara Roberts, launched the business in 2014 after becoming frustrated with the lack of healthy snack options for people on the go; notes that the investment will create new employment opportunities as the firm looks to introduce its own raw chocolate trail mix and break into the hospitality sector; understands that Healthy Nibbles, which started out with just three vending machines, will have around 90 placed in business premises by the end of 2017, and wishes Sara and her team every success as they seek to grow the business.
