Pearls in Peril

That the Parliament welcomes that the Pearls in Peril initiative has been selected as the winner of the UK 2017 River Prize in Partnership and Multiple Benefit category; notes that the best practices used by the River Dee District Salmon Fishery Board to achieve this award; recognises the contributions of individual farmers, estate staff and foresters, government agencies and local authorities, conservation bodies and trusts, and notes that, since this project was set up on the River Dee in Aberdeenshire just four years ago, nearly 40km of river bank has been protected and over 11,000 trees planted.
