Bloodhound Rocket Car Scottish Finals

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils of Tain Royal Academy on their success in the Bloodhound Rocket Car Scottish Finals recently held in Perth; is impressed that their speed reached over 53mph, which earned their school a prize of £1,000; notes that the Bloodhound Project is part of the Big Bang Fair Scotland programme, which is supported by the Energy Skills Partnership and is a global competition backed by Guinness World Records, and further notes that pupils took part in local heats consisting of 31 teams at the UHI’s North Highland College in April 2017, with four teams from both Tain Royal Academy and Thurso High School making it to the Scottish finals.
