That the Parliament welcomes the opening of the new Kyle Centre in Tongue; notes that the refurbished centre will act as a community wellbeing hub, which will offer a lunch club along with health-promoting activities three days a week; further notes that land adjacent to the centre will be used as a community garden with much of the produce being used for the lunch club; praises the work of all those involved in the North Coast Connection group who have been instrumental in securing the £250,000 needed for the project; understands that this funding has mainly come from the Big Lottery Fund, Climate Change Challenge Fund Caithness and North Sutherland Fund, as well as additional funding from Age Scotland, The Highland Council and the Edinburgh Sutherland Association, and looks forward to the positive role that the Kyle Centre will play in the surrounding area.
