That the Parliament wishes Phil Slade and Mark Belamarich the best of luck in their attempt to break the world record that they set for sailing in a double-handed dinghy by covering 500 nautical miles of open sea from Plymouth to the Gareloch; understands that their current Guinness World Records-recognised distance of 309.25 nautical miles was set by travelling non-stop from Plymouth to Portsmouth, via Septiles in France, using a Royal Navy bosun sail training dinghy, and acknowledges that Phil and Mark will be raising money for both the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and Bowel Cancer UK during their attempt.
