That the Parliament welcomes the words of Alex Salmond MP in 1992, when leader of the Scottish National Party he stated "With regards to referendums, you have got to learn to accept a democratic result", and considers that this respect should continue to apply today to referendum results, including the UK’s vote to leave the EU and Scotland’s vote to remain part of the UK.
