That the Parliament congratulates Midlothian Council on Roslin Park being nominated for the Fields in Trust UK’s Best Park, as Voted by YOU! 2016 Award; notes that the award gives the best parks in the UK a chance for public recognition; considers that Roslin Park’s nomination for the award highlights its beauty and underscores its importance as the centre of all outdoor activities in the local community, and thanks the council, the park staff and volunteers for their continuous work in caring for Roslin Park, making it a wonderful environment for families, children and individuals of all ages.
