That the Parliament recognises the launch of Run Garioch 2017; commends the work of the race director, Eric Simpson, and his team in organising, and securing sponsorship for, the event; notes that it will take place in Inverurie on 26 March 2017 and will include a half-marathon 5k, 10k and junior races; congratulates Ivana Taylor Ross, Holly Cran and Courtney Simpson on their efforts to increase participation in the junior races; acknowledges the importance of charity groups in the successful organisation of the event; believes that it is a fine example of businesses, charities and community groups working together to enhance their area and promote sport for all, and wishes the organisers every success for the 2017 and future events.
