That the Parliament congratulates Musselburgh’s Maitland Park Residents Association on its recent award of £2,424 from the Awards for All Scotland fund, which is a partnership between the Big Lottery Fund and sportscotland; understands that this funding will go towards repair work and improvement to the local ball area and playground to provide a safe and enjoyable area for local children to play in; notes that the association does not have charity status but acts independently as its own factor, undertaking non-residential maintenance such as grass cutting, care of trees and other amenity aspects, and wishes it the best of success with this project.
