  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 16 September 2016
  • Motion reference: S5M-01501

That the Parliament congratulates George McDonald and the team at Fairley's Garden Centre in Cairneyhill on raising the incredible sum of £12,058.37 to help children and families who are supported by the Children's Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), which is the only charity that provides hospice services in Scotland for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions; understands that the garden centre holds events every year at Christmas, such as an animated Santa band display, Santa's grotto and the Tree of Life, at which customers write messages to loved ones, and wishes George and his colleagues well in their future fundraising efforts.
