That the Parliament welcomes the news that Aberdeen Cyrenians is to receive £149,180 from SSEN Transmission’s Regional Community Benefit Fund; understands that the funds will go towards the charity’s NorthBridge initiative, which will establish a dedicated hub to provide support to people facing redundancy and other major life transitions, helping them to develop skills, find jobs and enhance their wellbeing; further understands that this is one of 14 projects in the north of Scotland being awarded a share of £2.37 million from SSEN Transmission, as part of a commitment to provide more than £100 million in community benefit across the region, enabled by investment in new electricity infrastructure supporting Scotland’s clean power and energy security ambitions; believes that the NorthBridge initiative will provide a vital service to those seeking its support, and wishes everyone at Aberdeen Cyrenians all the very best with their endeavours.
