That the Parliament congratulates the hundreds of young people from secondary schools across Dumfries and Galloway in the South Scotland Region, who have recently been recognised for their achievements at celebration events held throughout February 2026; notes that ceremonies took place in Lockerbie Academy, Douglas Ewart High School, Stranraer Academy, Castle Douglas High School, Sanquhar Academy and across the Nithsdale area, bringing together pupils, families, school staff, youth workers, councillors and community members; recognises the wide range of accredited programmes delivered through Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Youth Work Service, including amazing summer activities, wider achievement groups, transition programmes, the Dumfries and Galloway Youth Council, the Dumfries and Galloway Young Women’s Network and young leaders volunteering in their communities; commends the young people who earned nationally recognised awards such as the Dynamic Youth Awards, Hi5 Awards, Saltire Awards for Volunteering, Heritage Hero Awards, John Muir Awards and Participative Democracy Certificates; acknowledges the dedication of youth workers, volunteers and school staff in supporting these opportunities; celebrates the commitment, enthusiasm and talent demonstrated by all the young people involved, and wishes every participant continued success as they build on these achievements.
