That the Parliament commends Commsworld for its approach to encouraging school pupils in North Lanarkshire to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); notes that Commsworld, working in partnership with the charity, SmartSTEMs, and North Lanarkshire Council, aims to inspire young people through workshops introducing the imaginative side of design and technology; further notes that pupils were invited to create their own mascot, an initiative that has proven to be a great success; recognises that the designs have been put to a public vote, with a £500 prize awarded to the winning school, and wishes Thornlie Primary School in Wishaw, St Mary’s Primary School in Cleland, and all other schools taking part every success with their entries.
