That the Parliament congratulates the winners of the Glasgow Community Champion Awards 2025; acknowledges that the awards were presented at a ceremony in Glasgow City Chambers on Wednesday 10 December, recognising individuals and groups who have gone above and beyond in service to their city; notes that a total of 13 awards were presented, including the Senior Champion Award to Wilma Mather, who works tirelessly for her Summerston community, the Health and Wellbeing Champion Award to the volunteers of Home Start North, who support the early years services hub in Maryhill, the Community Champion of the Year Award to Natalie Dakhil, who founded the suicide support group, A Place Called Here, and the Sports Champion Award to Fortune Flyers Women’s Football Team, who provide footballing opportunities for disabled women; pays tribute to the more than 200 finalists whose dedication, compassion and hard work make a positive and lasting contribution on their communities, and commends all involved in organising and supporting the awards.
