That the Parliament welcomes the news that the residents of Muckhart have submitted their opinions on village improvements to Clackmannanshire Council; understands that, in April 2025, the village community council appealed to residents to contribute their thoughts to the Local Place Plan (LPP), a guide for the development of Muckhart for the next 10 years, which includes establishing a Development Trust; believes that, in November 2025, a steering group reviewed the responses and acknowledged some of the biggest challenges facing the village, highlighting key issues raised by residents; notes that the proposals include creating safe walking and cycling connections between Muckhart and Dollar, increasing shared transport, a playpark upgrade, developing a pop-up community shop and investment in local renewable energy projects; concurs with the aspiration that, in 2035, Muckhart should be a welcoming village that proudly retains its rural identity with new homes that are of high quality, well designed and respect the village’s existing character while the community will own key land and assets, with village life centred around its vibrant civic space; believes that, once Clackmannanshire Council has validated the Muckhart LPP, it will be registered publicly as a material consideration for planning decisions and will also be used to support funding applications in future; commends everyone involved with the LPP’s development, and wishes the village of Muckhart ,and its entire community, all the very best in all its future endeavours.
