That the Parliament congratulates Grampian Hospital Radio, based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on being awarded The King’s Award for Voluntary Service for 2025, the highest honour a voluntary group can receive in the UK; notes that the volunteer-run station was established in 1981, and provides 24-hour music, entertainment, information and companionship for patients across NHS Grampian hospitals; understands that the station’s team of volunteers produce and present shows, visit wards to collect patient requests, and bring smiles and a sense of normality to those spending time in hospital; believes that this award recognises the commitment and dedication of the volunteers, who give their time and energy to improve the wellbeing of patients during their time in hospital; hopes that all involved are rightly proud of this achievement, and wishes them all the best with their future endeavours, keeping the station going from strength to strength.
