Welcoming Funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust for the Steady Strides Project

That the Parliament welcomes funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust for its project, Steady Strides; understands that the funding will support a partnership with Minds & Manes to provide six equestrian sessions for 12 children and young people in Perth and Kinross in the spring of 2026; recognises that horses can be a great tool in supporting wellbeing and that the project aims to offer the young people an opportunity to gain new skills, confidence, self-esteem and emotional regulation, all while spending time outdoors and appreciating nature, offering a positive impact; extends its very best wishes for the success of the project, and thanks everyone involved with it on their hard work to deliver the project
