That the Parliament congratulates the Hawick Flood Protection Scheme on winning the Project of the Year and the Resilience awards at the 2025 Scottish Civil Engineering Awards; believes that this reflects outstanding engineering achievement and significant benefit to the Hawick community; acknowledges the project team’s earlier success at the Ground Engineering Awards and its shortlisting for the 2025 British Construction Infrastructure Awards; recognises that this government-funded scheme has delivered major improvements for the town, and commends all partners involved for delivering what it sees as a transformative project that protects over 970 homes and enhances local infrastructure, including a 7km active travel network.
