That the Parliament celebrates SeaFest Peterhead as a vibrant celebration of the sea and the many sectors, traditions and communities that depend upon it; thanks the dedicated volunteers whose hard work and commitment have made this festival possible, bringing together history, culture and innovation in Scotland’s largest fishing port; commends the people of Peterhead for their support and pride in hosting an event that it believes showcases the town’s pivotal role in both the fishing industry and the wider maritime sector, and recognises SeaFest as an opportunity to highlight and promote Scotland’s world-class seafood, which is landed, processed and exported from Peterhead to tables across the globe.
